How you can get involved with UniRadioBath

We’re a social bunch:

URB is a great way to meet new people, make friends and make contacts that can help you with the future. With socials regularly occurring and great events run by URB, you will always have the opportunity to meet new people and get friendly.

Learning New Skills:

Joining URB will allow you to learn new skills and give you the opportunity to use new equipment and software. If you want to learn how to DJ, present your own radio programmes, produce your own show or write your own content for URB, then guess what – we have you covered!

Broadening your Musical Horizons:

As a student radio station, we obviously love our music. All genres and all artists get the same love from URB. We host a wide range of shows on the station – from entertainment shows to programmes dedicated to specific music genres. URB allows you to experience an endless range of music and always keeps your musical taste up to date and occupied.

So now that we’ve teased you with some of the perks (there are more, you have to get involved to discover them yourself), you’re probably wondering how you can get involved? Join the University Radio Bath – Members group on facebook to see updates on ways to get involved. Also like and message the University Radio Bath page if you have any questions and want more details. Otherwise, feel free to just drop by the studio (purple door located right next to the Fresh in SU) and say hi!

For our shows in semester 2, we’re now accepting show applications. If you want to be invovled but don’t know where to start, fill out one of the forms below and a member of our team will get back to you with an easy route in.

Our Flagship Shows are the best way to start for newbies – you’ll be slowly introduced to Radio alongside an experienced presenter and shown the ropes. When you’ve got the hang of it we’ll get you running the desk and leading the show! All URB members have to start somewhere and this is usually the easiest way to begin.

Specialist shows are exactly that – focussing on a special subset or group of music, speech, topics, or any other category. If you’d like to lead your own show on whatever topic you can think of, sign up here no matter what your current experience is like.
